Eikono Klastes and Other Films
The Eikono Klastes series, started in the 1960s was influenced both by the political climate of the times and the spirit of the Bay Area Funk Art movement. The rhythmic montage which recontextualizes old cartoons, WWII images, and personal 16mm footage, can be seen metaphorically as political satire cynically examining the cycles of human progress as it deals with the eternal struggle between good and evil.
Also included in this volume is an experimental animation "Punch Film #1/2" produced entirely with old ticket punches, and a series of found "still" film strips conceived cinematically as "readymades".
